Hey you all I am a college student starting a track club at Warren Wilson College. I have had previous experience sprinting the 400 in HS at a 48.9. I was also apart of Track EC. When I graduated HS I attended NC A&T to walk on the Track and Field program. It has been 3 years since then and I am looking to pick my running back up and get a program started here. I have been swimming ever since. So we have a cross country team here with a CC coach who is pretty good but he is really busy. I have about 4 consistent sprinters with previous experience and may have more with no experience. So I know I want to provide a base for them and I have doing so with a distance runs (3-5 miles 1-2X/week). We have done core strength training every day (300/day). The one's who are running now are 400 runners and under. 3/4's of them have somewhat of a base to be pushed. I do not want to push them too hard since it is the first year I am starting this. Our spring break is in a week and I want to give them a workout program to stick to while they are away so that when we get back we can pick it up. Any suggestions? Also what are a few resources to get some sprint workouts from? I remember some of them from my own experiences but I just need to figure out the timing.
