| Hey, I just accepted a coaching position at a local catholic middle school for their new cross-country team as my senior project for school. I've run cross-country in high school for three years and I am very familiar with the PAAVO program. I'm just wondering if there are any experienced coaches out there who would be willing to give me some advice. This is this sport's first year at the school and I want it to start off well. Thanks! |

I know of Paavo Nurmi but not of a programme associated with him.
Details of this would give me an insight into how you intend to introduce XC.

| here's what my middle school coach did... 2/3 the distance in a race = 2/3 the distance in practice, w/ 2/3 the speed work. Other then that, you know how HS cross country was coached, just prepare them the best you can for that. |
